Zlatan Ibrahimovic assures Milan are ‘hungry’ for the Scudetto showdown with Napoli and he hopes to make his comeback tonight. ‘We’ll see. I decide,’ he grinned.

It kicks off at 19.45 GMT, you can follow all the build-up and action as it happens on the LIVEBLOG.

This will be a head-to-head at the top of the Serie A table, with Inter having already won on Friday and Juventus closing the gap too.

“It’s a great game, we want to give our best and take points home,” Ibrahimovic told Milan TV.

This is his return to the bench for the first time since sustaining an Achilles tendon injury against Juventus on January 23.

“I am always hungry to play, unfortunately every now and then I was prevented from doing so by injuries. Now I feel better, I am here and I am ready.”

Luciano Spalletti said that ‘nobody can be hungrier’ than Napoli in this Scudetto race, so does Ibrahimovic agree?

“The whole team is hungry, but with the right level of control.”

Ibrahimovic also spoke to DAZN ahead of kick-off at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, referencing the 3-1 victory earned here during the lockdown.

“The team prepared well, we are ready and hope the game goes the way we want, but it’s against a strong team. It’s fun to play when there’s so much riding on it.

“Every match is important, obviously it’s extra here with this passionate crowd. The last time I was here, it was empty. Now it’s almost full and I hope we leave with the same result.”

Ibrahimovic was asked if he discussed with coach Stefano Pioli coming off the bench for a substitute appearance.

“We’ll see,” he grinned. “I decide.”
