Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on the Milan bench for the first time since May 2022 and is already making an impact, constantly gesturing and talking to his teammates on the field.

The 41-year-old had knee surgery just days after his team secured the Serie A title last season and has not been able to play since then.

In this evening’s match against Torino at San Siro, Ibra got to sit on the bench as part of his squad for the first time in the current campaign.

The television cameras kept drifting over to see what he was up to and the Sweden international did not disappoint.

Ibrahimovic was repeatedly pulling faces, making hand gestures – including one in the opening minutes urging his teammates to talk to each other on the field after Brahim Diaz was robbed – and encouraging the other players.

Even before kick-off, Zlatan was already putting on a show during the warm-up for the crowd and getting them fired up.
