It took several minutes for his car to leave the airport, as supporters blocked the road chanting his name and trying to take pictures, with Zlatan grinning in the front seat.

He will undergo his medical today and hold a presentation press conference tomorrow.

Ibrahimovic has agreed a six-month contract with option to extend for another season, which can be activated automatically if certain conditions are met.

It’s reported to be worth €3.5m per season in wages.

There is no transfer fee, as Ibrahimovic is a free agent after his contract with the LA Galaxy expired.

This is a return to Milan, as the Swede already wore the jersey from 2010-12, scoring 56 goals in 85 competitive games for the Rossoneri.
