Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic hosted Striscia La Notizia, a popular TV show in Italy on Monday night: ‘I am not nervous, but I can understand you are because Ibra is here.’

The 41-year-old is no new to hosting TV shows in Italy as he had already featured at the Festival Di Sanremo last year.

This time, he was one of the hosts of Striscia La Notizia, the most popular satirical show on Italian TV, aired on Canale 5.

“I am not nervous, but I can understand you are because Ibra is here,” he said.

Ibrahimovic made his appearance on the stage to the tune of ‘Freed from desire’ which has become THE song for Milan since their title win in 2021-22.

He was ‘welcomed’ by an actor imitating his former teammate Andrea Pirlo and Italian coach Antonio Conte who Ibra will meet in a Champions League clash between Milan and Tottenham in February.

Pirlo was famous for his jokes at Milan, but Ibra reminded that “one day he made one, and he joined Juventus.”

The ex-Inter and Manchester United star also spoke about his biography ‘Invincibles’ written with Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist Luigi Garlando.

“My favourite chapter is the one about Mino [Raiola, his former agent],” said Ibra.

“He was very important to me and I still miss him. Family is the most important thing. It protects you and gives you responsibility. One becomes a man with sons because other lives depend on you.”
