Ibrahimovic is the Rossoneri’s top goal-scorer this season with 22 League goals from 23 appearances, but recent weeks have seen mild speculation suggest that he is looking for a move away. However, Tuesday has seen the tall Swede state his desire to remain with the Milanese until at least 2014.
“My future is at Milan, I have another two years on my contract,” he told the assembled Press today.
“Italy is my second home. My future is here, I hope to play well in the next two years and then we’ll see if I stay or go away.
“I’m playing at a fantastic club where they love me, my family are happy, all is natural, everything is automatic and I have nothing to prove.”
Ibra was talking ahead of facing former side Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Wednesday at San Siro.
“We are ready, we have prepared well. What happens, happens, we hope that good things will happen. We will need to play a perfect match too. They are the strongest in the world.”
The forward was asked about comparisons between former teammate Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
“You cannot ask me, I’m fine here, I’m not interested in these things, all that matters is that Milan win.
“The game is important for everyone. Tradition says that Milan has always done well in the Champions League. The story must go forward.
“We have to play as Milan, in attack. Tactics to stop them I do not like. We need to score so as to do well in the second leg. They have an idea in the field that they always follow.
“We are the only Italian side in Europe and after the return leg I hope that we remain so.
“Will I shake [Pep] Guardiola’s hand? I do not know, we have other things to think about, it’s not a big problem. I do not think about the past.”
