The tall Swede has faced gradually escalating speculation in recent weeks that he intends to leave the defending League champions in the summer. However, the 30-year-old told the club’s official channel that he is resolute in his future.
“As we said six months ago I am happy here, I have a contract, I have no other thoughts and I am determined to finish this season well in the shirt of Milan and then that of my national team,” expressed the Swede, in anticipation of Euro 2012.
“Milan has brought me my smile and my desire to play, Milan is my future. I have no reason to say otherwise – I play well because I am happy here, on and off the field.
“More than this I cannot have. After the holidays I will be back preparing for next season with this shirt on me.”
Ibrahimovic is enjoying his best goal-scoring return in Serie A, yet it could be the first season he has played in the League that he could finish without winning the Scudetto.
“There are six games in the League and we will do everything to get maximum points. We are here and we must remain focused and prepare well for each game.
