Samu Castillejo eventually sealed the 3-0 result, although Lucas Paqueta and Fabio Borini had goals ruled offside.

“The team put in a good first half performance and we should’ve been sharper in our choices for the final ball,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“We ran very few risks and had a good chance to take the lead, but a minute later we made a mistake that sparked the Milan opener.
“The quick one-two of Milan goals was too big a blow to recover from at San Siro. The defeat was down to errors that we cannot afford in these situations. Conceding a goal like that is unthinkable for a team that is trying to avoid relegation.”
Iachini seemed particularly furious with Ismael Bennacer, who was caught in possession.
“I cannot get over the Piatek goal, as it was too serious a mistake. We must learn from these errors and remember the details might seem insignificant, but they are absolutely crucial.
“You can’t go to San Siro and play with rubber boots, because if you slip, then the opposition will score a goal.”
