In the Press conference that saw him formally introduced to his new fans, Giovinco stressed the winning mentality that he wants to bring to the club.

In the Press conference that saw him formally introduced to his new fans, Giovinco stressed the winning mentality that he wants to bring to the club.
“I'd like to thank the club and those who came to welcome me at the airport,” the new No 10 said, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.com.
“I want to repay this trust on the pitch. My objective is to win with these colours and make history with the club.
“I left Italy because I had many problems there, in the sense that I was always spoken of as a player who couldn't play at the highest levels.
“But I always showed with the facts that it wasn't so. I wanted to find a city, a team that from the first day wanted me like this organisation has done. And so my choice was spot on.
“On my new adventure, I can say that I am a person and a footballer who can adapt to all situations.
“Together with my new teammates and my Coach we'll find the best solutions to do something great.”
Toronto's general manager Tim Bezbatchenko praised Giovinco and looked forward to what he would bring to the club.
“He can help us find continuity in our work, since we're talking about a player who is only 28-years-old.
“And having him in time for the pre-tournament phase is very important for us.”
