Antonio Conte comments on Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea sacking saying: ‘I don’t want to be disrespectful, it is right to don’t comment because I don’t know what happened.

The Italian and the German tacticians clashed during their last meeting at Stamford Bridge, a Premier League fixture between Tottenham and Chelsea on August 14.

Both coaches were charged with improper conduct, but only the Chelsea boss faced a one-match ban.

The Italian tactician was asked his thoughts on Chelsea’s decision but opted to keep a low profile: “Honestly I don’t want to be disrespectful,” he said at a post-match press conference on Wednesday, as quoted by Football London.

“I think when another club takes a decision, it is right to don’t take comment because you don’t know what happened.”

Conte’s Tottenham began their Champions League campaign on the right foot beating Igor Tudor’s Marseille 2-0 in London.

The Italian tactician joined Tottenham in November 2021, signing an 18-month contract so his current deal in North London runs out in June 2023.

The 53-year-old has won 26 of his 43 games in charge of Spurs.

  1. The only guarantee in a coach’s career is getting the sack. Happens to the best. I thought Tuchel was lucky to not get sacked at the end of last season. Coasted in 2nd gear despite a lot of spending and threw in the towel on the league in December. If it wasn’t for the lack of quality of the chasing pack, top 4 would’ve been in danger too.
