With Inter and Juventus preparing to do battle in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final on Tuesday evening and Fiorentina hoping to defend their 2-0 advantage over Cremonese on Wednesday, a place in the final of the cup will be worth millions in additional revenue to the successful clubs.

As detailed in La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two teams who qualify for the final on May 24 will be guaranteed €2 million in prize money.

The eventual champions of the tournament will receive an additional €4.5 million as a result of lifting the trophy as well.

Factoring in all aspects, including previous matches in the competition and qualification to the redesigned four-team Supercup mini tournament in Saudi Arabia, the total figure could rise to €8 million.

Inter will play host to Juventus at San Siro in the second leg of the semi-final at 20.00 on Tuesday evening, where the scores are currently level at 1-1 after a dramatic encounter in the opening game of the tie.

Fiorentina will look to capitalise on their two-goal lead over relegation-threatened Cremonese on Wednesday, which also kicks off at 20.00.
