Juan Jesus is ‘just happy’ and honoured to be coached by Roberto Mancini, and asserts Inter are looking to adapt to his tactics as soon as possible.

The Nerazzurri switched back to a back-four for Mancini’s first game since his return on Sunday for the Milan derby.

“I would say we did well,” Juan Jesus has reflected on the 1-1 result that was earned from it.

“We made some mistakes, but after nearly two years with a three-man defence, I think that is normal.

“I would say we did well,” Juan Jesus has reflected on the 1-1 result that was earned from it.

“We made some mistakes, but after nearly two years with a three-man defence, I think that is normal.

“We are trying to understand everything as soon as we can, so as to be more relaxed.

“Does it change things for me? In the marking phase no, because then everyone defends, but perhaps in going forward Dodo is better than me at full-back. For everything else, though, nothing changes.”

Jesus was talking ahead of Inter’s Europa League game with Dnipro, and was asked for a word on his new Coach, who was sat beside him at the Press conference.

“With Mancini things are going well, but I am too young to be able to speak about him.

“He was also a great player. It is an honour to be coached by him, I have so much to learn and I am just happy.”

Mancini joked in response: “Tomorrow Juan Jesus will start for sure!”
