Tomorrow’s Spal match could reportedly be Gonzalo Higuain’s last for Milan, as he’s wanted by Chelsea in January.

The striker joined the Rossoneri from Juventus on an €18m loan in the summer, with a €36m option to buy.

However, the Argentine hasn’t scored in his last nine games, and both Tuttosport and La Stampa report he could play his final game for the club against Spal.

However, the Argentine hasn’t scored in his last nine games, and both Tuttosport and La Stampa report he could play his final game for the club against Spal.

The latter believes that he’s likely to join Chelsea to reunite with Maurizio Sarri, under whom he had the best season of his career at Napoli.

For Milan the ideal solution would be a swap deal for Alvaro Morata, but to do that they’d need to sign Higuain outright from Juve, which would present Financial Fair Play problems.

Taking Pipita on loan for a year allows the Rossoneri to spread the cost over more than one financial year, but they’d have the whole €54m on the books for this season if they sign him in January.
