Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain will have scans today, but there’s optimism that he’ll be fit to face Juventus.

The Argentine went off injured in the Rossoneri’s win over Udinese at the weekend, having taken a knock to his right hip.

It was initially thought that Pipita just had a bruise, but it appears he felt a twinge and, having had surgery on his back in 2011, the club is taking no chances.

Today Higuain will have a scan to determine the nature and severity of the injury, and he’ll almost certainly miss the Real Betis game on Thursday.

However, there is optimism that he’ll be fit to face his parent club Juventus on Sunday night.
