Gonzalo Higuain and Blerim Dzemaili insist Napoli “are not afraid of Borussia Dortmund” in the Champions League.

The Partenopei maintained their 100 per cent Serie A record after three rounds by beating Atalanta 2-0 last night.

Higuain was on target, his first goal at the Stadio San Paolo, and explained how well he is settling in.

“I am very happy for the goal and satisfied to have given my fans a moment of joy,” the former Real Madrid striker told Sport Mediaset.

“The rapport with Rafa Benitez is ideal, as we work well together and hope this is on the beginning, because we want to aim high.”

Napoli open their Champions League campaign at home to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, the side that lost last year’s Final to Bayern Munich.

“We have to stay calm and enjoy the victory over Atalanta. We’ll talk about Dortmund the day before the game.”

However, teammate Dzemaili was more eager to comment on the Germans, who thrashed Hamburg 6-2 in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

“We are not afraid of Borussia Dortmund,” the Swiss international told Sky Sport Italia.

“They are an excellent side, but we are aware that we can beat anyone at the San Paolo. They are in good shape and won 6-2, but we want the victory.

“It is a very difficult group, but we will give it our all to reach the last 16.”

The other match on Wednesday is Olympique Marseille-Arsenal.
