Torino forward Marcelo Larrondo fractured his foot during the controversial 2-2 draw with Milan.

The striker was down for several minutes during stoppages in last night’s game and remained prone while the Rossoneri continued play to earn a decisive penalty.

Toro were furious that play was not stopped and that even a throw-in did not prompt the referee to allow the substitution.

Larrondo was eventually stretchered off just before Mario Balotelli took the penalty with the last kick of the game.

Torino medical staff have now revealed Larrondo fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot and was given a plaster cast.

The same player also needed stitches to his lip after what appeared to be an elbow from Nigel De Jong earlier in the second half.

Meanwhile, there are reports on Milan Channel that Andrea Poli has suffered a serious injury after he was brought down for the penalty.

Details are scarce, but the midfielder was spotted limping after the game.

Riccardo Montolivo went off in the first half with a suspected thigh strain.
