The 31-year-old returned to the side for the 4-0 win over Cagliari last night, and completed more passes than anyone on the pitch.

The 31-year-old returned to the side for the 4-0 win over Cagliari last night, and completed more passes than anyone on the pitch.

“We knew we had to take three points because we were playing at home,” Hernanes acknowledged in an interview with Premium Sport.

“The Coach asked us to react, to close all the spaces and move the ball forward quickly. The expectations on us are high, we can’t get it wrong.

“The whistles? If I was a fan, to be honest I’d have whistled my performances.”
