Gianluca Vialli turns 57 today, and Roberto Mancini has celebrated posting two special pictures on his social media.

The Azzurri coach took to his official Twitter and Instagram accounts to wish his former teammate happy birthday.

Vialli and Mancini won the Serie A title at Sampdoria in the 1990-91 campaign. Now they are at the helm of the Italy national team.

Mancini was appointed Italy coach in 2018, while Vialli is the Azzurri’s chief delegate.

They are not just colleagues, they are not just friends. As Mancini has recently explained, they are like brothers.

And ‘brother’ is the word Mancini used to wish Vialli happy birthday.

“Happy birthday, bomber and brother. An ideal day for a birthday. Happy Birthday, bro,” wrote Mancini.

The 56-year-old posted two pictures that show him embrace the former Chelsea striker.

The top one from their old days at Sampdoria and the bottom one from the UEFA Euro 2020 Round of 16 tie, when a Federico Chiesa goal put Italy ahead in the extra time against Austria at Wembley Stadium, the same venue as the Final against England on Sunday.
