It’s reported Samir Handanovic will join Roma next season, possibly with Mattia Destro going to Inter as part of the deal.

The Slovenian goalkeeper’s contract is due to expire in June 2016 and talks to renew have hit a brick wall, meaning Inter must sell this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Handanovic has already given Roma the all-clear to join them next season.

The two clubs still need to reach an agreement and Inter could request striker Destro as part of an exchange deal.

Destro is currently on loan at Milan, but the Rossoneri do not seem intent on taking up their option to buy at the end of the season.

It would be a return to Inter for Destro, who started out in their youth academy.

Handanovic would replace Morgan De Sanctis, who turned 38 this week and is heading towards retirement.
