Sunday’s clash at the San Paolo was bittersweet for Hamsik, who tied with Giuseppe Bruscolotti on 511 games for Napoli but saw his side only draw 1-1 with Roma.

“We enjoyed total domination, creating lots of chances, but scored only one goal at the end,” the midfielder told his official website.

“We dropped two points because of how we played, but we’re looking beyond and we’re already thinking about the match against Empoli.

“I’m proud to have tied with the legend Bruscolotti on appearances. It makes me very happy.”
