Marek Hamsik is confident that his Napoli side are serious challengers to Milan and Inter in the title race.

The Azzurri are currently second in the standings, three points behind Milan and two clear of Inter – even if the latter have a game in hand.

"I don't think it is risky to talk about the Scudetto," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday. "I think it'll be a three-horse race until the very end.

"I don't think it is risky to talk about the Scudetto," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday. "I think it'll be a three-horse race until the very end.

"There is also Napoli alongside Milan and Inter, we are proving that with our results and the League table speaks volumes.

"Inter have a match against Fiorentina still to play, but I don't see that as a problem."

Hamsik, along with Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi, has been key to Napoli's title charge and the big clubs are understandably taking an interest.

"The offers from the big clubs are almost a weight on my shoulders," he added. "It means that I always have to prove myself to be a talent.

"However, today Napoli is my city."

Hamsik is an idol in Naples amongst the passionate fans who are also aiding the team towards glory.

"The supporters are incredible," the Slovakian added. "They give us affection and passion that is unique.

"They wait for us outside of the gates after training and tell us the same thing – 'boys, you can't leave Napoli'.

"What do I say? Nothing, I don't respond."

Napoli's title credentials will be tested this weekend when they take on Roma in the Italian capital.
