Erling Haaland’s proposed to move to Manchester City will cost less than Juventus paid Fiorentina for Dusan Vlahovic in January, according to reports.

City announced that a deal to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund had been agreed, subject to personal terms.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports the fee is €60 million – which means it is €10m less than Juve paid Fiorentina up front, while the overall deal for the Serbia forward could be up to €80m.

However, it is worth noting Haaland is expected to earn a salary of €438,000-a-week while Vlahovic’s wages are around €130,000 per week.

Vlahovic joined Juve after scoring 20 goals in 24 matches across all competitions in the first half of the campaign for La Viola.

However, after a fairly bright start at Juve in which he scored on his club debut as well as on his Champions League bow for the club, he has entered a barren run and is now four matches without a goal.

In total, he has scored seven goals in 18 matches for his new club and was subbed off with 15 minutes left during the recent defeat to Genoa.

9 thought on “Haaland’s reported fee to Man City less than Juventus paid for Vlahovic”
  1. A salary of €21,9M per year… Only Man City and PSG can pay that with the oil money. Comparison should be made on total cost.

  2. Now include all the bonuses and the commissions to his father, agents etc and the total reaches more than 100m according to some reports.

  3. No thank you, he’s a great player, but the salary is ridiculous. I’m sure if we get Raspadorri and Pogba/di Maria, Vlahovic will deliver goals

  4. I think he had a release clause at that amount. If that’s the case I don’t want to guess how much money has changed hands as commission or agent fees or under the table all together.

  5. Juve would have never gotten Haaland with that insane salary, so it’s not a fair comparison. Dusan is amazingly effective given limited opportunities. I think we just need to get him more balls!

  6. Raiolo had the buyout clause in the contract to allow him to go at that fee. Without it, I doubt we would see him leave at that number

  7. Totally daft article. As it says, treble the salary. Who else can pay it but City and maybe PSG? Haaland is a great player but if City don’t win the CL next season, that’s one huge hole burning in their pockets.

  8. Great to read all the bitter Italian fans. Your league is lousy. You can start by rebuilding your rotting stadiums
