Francesco Guidolin is keeping his feet on the ground and played down the touchline argument with Antonio Di Natale.

Udinese are going through a positive period of form and playing good football,” he said of the 2-1 victory away to Juventus.

“We played better in the second half and deserved the win. Now we are pleased with our position in the table, as we're almost safe and that is already an important objective for a club like this.

“Our team can still target more ambitious positions and we'll fight till the end.”

The Friulani have now leapfrogged Juve to fly into sixth place, having beaten Inter and Juventus plus held Milan to a 4-4 draw in the last month.

“Juve are still a good side, even with so many absentees, and I hope they can return to the levels that their history suggests.”

Guidolin explained away the touchline row that broke out when a clearly angry Di Natale was substituted.

“We have two home games in the next few days, so that's why I took him off to rest. There is no controversy here and Toto is our most important player. I could tell even on 1-1 that we could win this game.”
