The Colombian international has eight goals in 27 games for the club this term, but he insists there are more important factors in his mind.

“If I happen to score then that’s nice, but the key thing is a victory for the team,” stated the January 2012 signing from Porto to Mediaset.

Guarin was again on the scoresheet on Tuesday night in his club’s 3-2 extra-time Coppa Italia win over Bologna.

“I feel good and I’m working to maintain this level and improve,” he added.

“Everything that I’m experiencing with Inter continues to give me more of a sense of responsibility. We’re aiming as high as possible and focusing on one game at a time.”

Inter travel to Roma this weekend aware that they have lost all four of their away games in Serie A since defeating Juventus 3-1 in Turin.

“I don’t believe in any curse, but I believe in our work – my own and that of my Coach and teammates. We’re hoping to play a good match.”
