He may well get his wish soon, because Sarri is on the verge of signing a contract with Chelsea, waiting only to negotiate a termination with old club Napoli.

Guardiola is in Italy for a golfing event hosted by Gianluca Vialli and spoke to Tuttosport.

“I would love to see Sarri in the Premier League,” commented the former Brescia and Roma player.

“He did well with Empoli and, above all, Napoli. His teams are a real joy to watch. Juventus can also put on a show, with the added security of the club operating behind them.”

Real Madrid lifted the Champions League for the third year running, beating Liverpool 3-1 in Saturday’s Final.

“It’s hard enough to win the Champions League once, let alone three times in a row. Zinedine Zidane has proved what he can do.”
