New signing Olivier Giroud sent a message to the Milan fans. ‘I can’t wait to start this exciting adventure with you’.

The Rossoneri completed the signing of the France international today, and the former Chelsea striker will wear No. 9 at San Siro next season.

The soon-to-be 35-year-old arrived on Thursday and had his medical on Friday, before completing the transfer with his signature.

Milan officially announced the arrival of Giroud on their official website today and Giroud has now sent a message to the Rossoneri fans.

“Hi Milan fans,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’m very proud to have Italian origins and I can’t wait to start this exciting adventure with you.

“I thank Ivan Gazidis, whom I have known for a long time, Paolo Maldini, Frederic Massara and coach [Stefano] Pioli for the welcome. Forza Milan.”

Giroud, capped 110 times by France, has spent nine seasons in the Premier League, as he arrived at Arsenal from Montpellier in July 2012.

He has scored 90 goals in 255 league appearances across his stints with the Gunners and Chelsea in England and 39 in 119 competitive games since joining the Blues in January 2018.

Giroud has signed a two-year deal with the Diavolo until June 2023.
