Roma have confirmed Pau Lopez moves to Olympique Marseille on a loan with an obligation to buy with conditions.

The French side had officially announced the agreement with the Giallorossi, who now confirmed that the Ligue 1 giants have signed the Spanish goalkeeper on a paid loan until June 2022.

The agreement includes an obligation to buy the player for €12 next summer, provided that the shot stopper makes at least 20 appearances for the club.

Paul Lopez joined the Giallorossi in the summer of 2019, and has since played 76 competitive games with La Lupa.

“AS Roma announce that they have signed a contract for a loan until June 30, 2022, for Pau Lopez Sabata to Olympique Marseille,” the club wrote in a statement.

“Against a recognition of a fixed amount of €720,000, and a variable amount for a maximum of €500,000.

“The agreement provides, upon the occurrence of certain sporting situations, the obligation to buy outright for €12m.”
