The Italian international joined the Partenopei from Sunderland this summer, but has played only 62 minutes so far across all competitions.

“Giaccherini is a very versatile player,” Raffaele Auriemma pointed out on Radio Crc.
“I think everyone who is playing in attack is doing well, so Emanuele would be useful for Napoli in other roles. As a winger or an outside midfielder he’d be able to give the best of himself.
“It’s obvious that Giaccherini hoped to play more, but he was injured during pre-season and that limited him a bit.
“Getting injured after three days of pre-season meant it took him longer to get ready, but now he’s fine and the numbers prove that.”
