Genoa have yet to make a decision on the future of Stephan El Shaarawy as Milan close in on the youngster.

Reports are gathering pace that the Rossoneri have agreed a deal with the port club for the 18-year-old talent.

"The fact that Milan have spoken to us about him does not mean that he is already a Milan player," Genoa sporting director Stefano Capozucca told Radio Sportiva.

"We have decided to take the next 48 hours to reflect on our market moves, we will then evaluate what is right for us and the boy.

"Our desire has to match the desire of the youngster.

"We haven't taken a definite decision yet so everything that you are reading is just talk for now, not fact."

The attacking midfielder, who spent this term on loan at Padova in Serie B, is an Italian youth international.

El Shaarawy, who has an Egyptian father and Italian mother, admitted this week that he'd rather join Milan – the club he supports – than Juventus or Inter.
