It is reported that Arturo Vidal’s move to Inter from Bayern Munich is all but done, with the Chilean to sign in a €20m deal.

An agreement has been reached between the San Siro club and their Bundesliga counterparts, with the transfer set to be confirmed before the end of the week.

Vidal will reportedly sign a three-year contract with the Nerazzurri, on wages of €4.5-a-season – considerably less than what he earns in Germany.

Vidal will reportedly sign a three-year contract with the Nerazzurri, on wages of €4.5-a-season – considerably less than what he earns in Germany.

While the move is all but certain to happen, Gazzetta dello Sport explains there are still a few small details that need to be ironed out.

In order for Inter to satisfy Financial Fair Play regulations, they can only bring in the 31-year-old on an initial loan deal with the option to sign him permanently next summer.

And given that Vidal only has one year remaining on his contract with Bayern, he would be available on a free transfer next June anyway.

As such, the Milan club would need to be seen to have an incentive to pay the German champions a transfer fee next summer.

It has therefore been decided that Vidal will extend his contract at Bayern by another year before the deal with Inter is finalised.

Once this has been done, the midfielder will be free to undergo a medical before officially completing his return to Serie A.
