According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have opened talks to sign Leicester City striker Patson Daka on loan.

The Rossoneri are still looking for a new centre forward after seeing the Mehdi Taremi deal collapse on Thursday. According to Gazzetta, club directors opened talks with Leicester City for Daka last night.

The report claims Milan would sign the 24-year-old on loan until the end of the season, while Taremi would have moved to the Stadio Meazza on a permanent transfer.

Daka scored four goals in 30 Premier League appearances last season and has yet to make his Championship debut this term.

Several strikers have been linked with joining the Rossoneri over the last few hours especially because Lorenzo Colombo is set to complete a loan move to Monza regardless of Milan signing a new centre forward.

The former Lecce loanee did not join his Milan teammates in Rome for tonight’s Serie A game and is expected to sign his contract with the Brianzoli later today.
