According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli have accepted PSG’s offer for Fabian Ruiz, who will undergo his medical with the Ligue 1 giants tomorrow.

The Spain international has been frozen out of the Napoli squad after refusing to extend his contract expiring in June 2023. Therefore, he was not included in the team for the first three Serie A games of the season and trained separately from the rest of the team.

Now, according to Gazzetta, Napoli have agreed to sell the ex-Betis man to PSG.

The Ligue 1 giants will reportedly pay €23m, including add-ons. Fabian will sign a five-year deal worth €5m per season and is expected to undergo his medical in Paris tomorrow morning.

The Spain international joined the Partenopei for €30m in 2018 and spent four years under the Vesuvius, scoring 22 goals in 166 appearances.

Fabian’s move to PSG could pave the way for Leandro Paredes’ transfer to Juventus, but according to the report, the Old Lady must sell Arthur or Adrien Rabiot before getting the Argentina international on loan.

Napoli remain interested in PSG’s Keylor Navas, but the ex-Real Madrid star hasn’t reached an agreement over a payout from his current club as Napoli can’t afford his €9m-a-year salary.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio has now confirmed that Fabian to PSG is a done deal.

  1. Rotting on the bench of PSG, collecting fat cheques is always welcomed rather than being frozen out for the whole season and risking your next step in career I suppose, no? I think all parties are happy with this one.
