According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cesar Azpilicueta has agreed personal terms with Inter and will undergo his medical in the coming days before signing a two-year deal.

The Spanish defender has emerged as a transfer target for the Nerazzurri, who must replace the departing Milan Skriniar and Danilo D’Ambrosio, leaving the Stadio Meazza at the end of their contracts on June 30.

According to Gazzetta, the Chelsea defender has reached a verbal agreement with Inter over a two-year deal. Azpilicueta will turn 34 in August.

He is now pushing to leave Chelsea on a free transfer knowing he won’t get regular playing time next season. His current deal at Stamford Bridge expires in June 2024.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Azpilicueta was promised to leave on a free transfer in the summer, so he expects to join Inter soon.

The Nerazzurri are also expected to sign Yann Aurel Bisseck from Aarhus GF for €7m.
