Gazidis gave a lengthy interview to La Gazzetta dello sport on the Rossoneri, who have had a turbulent season.

“Two souls in Milan? It’s not true. There is only one common vision,” Gazidis told La Gazzetta.

“To have a modern Milan, that competes at the highest level in Italian and European football and that in the future plays in one of the greatest stadiums in the world, with a clear philosophy to obtain success on the pitch.”

Milan qualified for the Europa League this season, but relinquished their spot in the competition due to FFP regulations, and it’s an issue Gazidis says the club have to face.

“Milan is one of the greatest clubs in the world, but we all know that in the past few years things have been difficult.

“There have been huge losses. Since Elliott took over we are one of the companies that has invested the most in the world.

“But we have to be careful, there is FFP, and especially these days, we are seeing that it is a serious issue. The boundaries which within to act are clear.

“We never want to suffer any further exclusions from European cup competitions.  The challenges we face to get back to the top are plentiful; we know we have to take it one step at a time, even with the inevitable mistakes along the way.

“No dream is impossible, but all dreams require commitment, effort and patience.”
