Gennaro Gattuso “gave up on many offers” after his Palermo sacking and believes he will “one day return to Milan.”
The former midfielder had two brief spells on the bench, one as player-manager at Sion FC and then for just over a month at Serie B side Palermo.
“I think that one day I will return to Milan as a Coach, because this club is my home,” Rino told Sky Sport Italia at a book presentation.

“I gave up on many offers, including ones from Singapore and Malaysia. Now I have a proposal from a club an hour away from my home, so we’ll see.”
Gattuso is keeping a close eye on the Rossoneri’s progress under his former teammate Clarence Seedorf.
“It’s not right that Seedorf is always considered to be at risk, but a club like Milan has to be in Europe.
“I have a great rapport with President Silvio Berlusconi. Every time he came to Milanello, he’d fire us up and tell us never to abandon the ball. We must always have it at our feet.
“He’d come into the locker room and was always very respectful with everyone. In that sense, he was impeccable. I hope they give him a youth team to coach!
“I wouldn’t get to play in the current Italy squad, considering the midfield characteristics. Mario Balotelli? The only one who could win by himself was Diego Maradona. Balotelli has to get his head into the team unit and together they can have a great World Cup.”
Gattuso hit the headlines last year when he was dragged into the betting and match-fixing investigation.
“I was hurt. I had the chance to clarify everything with the authorities yesterday, so it will all be resolved over the next few days.”
