Valencia coach Gennaro Gattuso has called up Arthur Melo to convince him to accept a loan move, now Juventus are trying to work out how to divide up his salary.

The Brazilian midfielder is not part of Max Allegri’s plans and his huge wages are weighing on the Bianconeri coffers, especially as they cannot bring in Leandro Paredes from PSG until he has departed.

According to Marca in Spain, Gattuso has made convincing Arthur his number one priority and is calling the player personally to speed up the process.

While Arsenal were already linked in January and West Ham United are another alternative, Arthur would prefer to come back to Spain after his spell at Barcelona.

Tuttomercatoweb claim the charm offensive is working, as Arthur is ready to accept the Valencia loan move.

The remaining issue, and it is a big one, is how to split his salary between the two clubs.

Valencia had proposed covering only 20 per cent, which was rejected, as they must get to at least 40 per cent, and preferably share it 50-50.

  1. Notice Paraticis transfers (deadwood) made when at Juve: Arthur, Rabiot, Ramsey, Kulu, McKennie… Hopeless!!!

  2. @tommy mckennie isn’t a deadwood. If we put him up for sale today I’ll bet clubs will come calling for him ahead of everyone you mentioned except kulu
