Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed that he will hold talks with Pescara regarding the vacant coaching role at the Serie A new boys.

Zdenek Zeman led Pescara to the Serie B championship this season, but he will be in charge of Roma during the 2012-13 campaign.

Pescara yesterday confirmed that Gasperini, sacked by Inter in September, is an option and an interview will take place.

“I will go and have a chat with the Pescara directors,” the former Genoa tactician, who employs 3-4-3 tactics, told Il Messaggero.

“I can’t really say anything else, apart from the fact that it would be a stimulating experience to boss a team like that.

“I’ll listen with interest to what they have to say, but I don’t know what will happen.”

Pescara are also looking at former Fiorentina boss Delio Rossi, axed Cesena tactician Marco Giampaolo and Italy Under-21 CT Ciro Ferrara.
