Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini is not concerned with transfer rumours linking him with the Napoli job: ‘Luckily I don’t have time.’

The 65-year-old is one of the candidates to replace Luciano Spalletti at the Stadio Maradona in 2023-24. The Tuscan tactician is expected to leave at the end of the season after winning Napoli’s first Serie A title in 33 years.

“Luckily, I don’t have time to read news on the web, there are too many things going around and it’s difficult to follow them all,” Gasp said on Thursday while attending an event organised by Accademia dello Sport per la Solidarietà.

“The best thing is to be focused on Atalanta having the certainty that we’ve qualified for Europe. We’ve made history, and achieving this target gives us great energy.”

Following Juventus‘ 10-point penalty, La Dea sit fifth in the Serie A table, nine points above eighth-placed Monza. The Nerazzurri can still qualify for the Champions League being three points below Milan with two games remaining.
