“We are not underestimating anyone or taking any game for granted. Every point must be earned on the pitch and nothing comes easy,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Chievo might be bottom of the table, but they have always played some pretty evenly balanced games, especially in recent months. They play with courage and create difficulties for all their opponents.”

As Roma, Torino and Fiorentina all lost so far this weekend, it’s a potentially huge opportunity for Atalanta to climb the table.

“It’s all still very uncertain at the moment and if the season were to close today, we would be empty-handed. We still have it all to do.

“We’re feeling confident and coming off some impressive performances, but know too well that victories must be worked for every time with determination.”

Rafael Toloi is out injured, while Gasperini himself will be sitting out a touchline ban following his dismissal for dissent and subsequent push on a Sampdoria director.

Atalanta squad for Chievo: Berisha, Rossi, Gollini; Masiello, Palomino, Reca, Gosens, Djimsiti, Castagne, Mancini, Hateboer, Ibanez; Freuler, De Roon, Pessina, Kulusevski, Colpani, Pasalic; Gomez, Piccoli, Ilicic, Duvan Zapata, Barrow
