Roma Coach Rudi Garcia warns Roma’s road to the Scudetto is a long one, but believes his players have what it takes.

The Giallorossi lie three points behind Juventus in the hunt for the Scudetto, and are aiming to stop the Bianconeri from lifting their fourth title in a row.

“The road is still long for everyone, and every game is important,” Garcia reflected in a Press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game with Udinese.

“Psychologically you can get a boost, or a team that loses can suffer more. If we play well while winning then that’s better, but it doesn’t change the fact that every point counts and things are only decided at the end.

“We have to do everything we can to get as many points as possible and finish ahead of 19 other teams at the end of the season.

“In 2015 we have to do the same as we did last year, and that means fighting for the title, and to win trophies.

“That was the target last year and we have the ability to do it. The difference is that this year we have to win something, we’re in three competitions [Serie A, the Europa League and the Coppa Italia] and we have to fight for them until the end.

“Tomorrow we’re just looking for three points. If we manage that then we’ll start looking at other results.”

Roma will be without Ivorian winger Gervinho for a month as he competes in the Cup of Nations, but Garcia is confident Juan Iturbe can fill his shoes.

“[With Gervinho gone] other attacking players must take more responsibility. An example would be [Adem] Ljajic who didn’t wait until Gervinho left to make himself important.

“I expect the same from all the attacking players, if someone leaves others have to step up and take his place.

“It can be said that Iturbe’s attributes are closest to Gervinho’s. He is one solution, but I have others.

“The most important thing is that I still have choices to make, because we need to improve.

“In our last two games we didn’t score enough, and we weren’t very effective. We need to improve that.”
