Roma Coach Rudi Garcia admits his side’s clash with Manchester City tomorrow is ‘a cup final’.

The Giallorossi face the English champions at Olimpico knowing that a win will guarantee them a place in the Last 16 of the Champions League.

However, a win for Manchester City would see the Lupi crash out, a goalless draw would be to Roma's advantage if CSKA Moscow fail to defeat Bayern Munich, while a score draw may hand City the edge.

Roma Coach Rudi Garcia admits his side’s clash with Manchester City tomorrow is ‘a cup final’.

However, a win for Manchester City would see the Lupi crash out, a goalless draw would be to Roma's advantage if CSKA Moscow fail to defeat Bayern Munich, while a score draw may hand City the edge.

“As I always say, every game is important,” Garcia explained to assembled media in his Press conference ahead of the match.

“For us, this is a cup final. We shouldn’t even be in contention in the sixth game, because we came out of Pot 4 while they’re champions of England.

“As I said before [the last] game against CSKA Moscow, to win we have to come out and play.

“It’s a special game, but we’ve prepared in a normal way, as we would for any other game.

“We want to progress for the fans, the club and for ourselves.”

Manchester City will be without their talismanic striker Sergio Aguero, with the Argentinian international going off injured at the weekend.

The 26-year-old has 19 goals in 21 games across all competitions this season, but Garcia insists he’s disappointed Aguero will play no part.

“When I heard the news about Aguero’s injury I was very sad that he wouldn’t play at Olimpico, because he’s a champion.

“Manchester City are a strong team, but we have to be focused on our own game and our own intensity.

“We know it will be a tough game, but we can do it.”
