The Giallorossi’s run of 10 consecutive wins came to a halt with tonight’s 1-1 draw in Turin.
“I liked that we played all the way through in order to win. Even at the end we attacked to the final whistle and tried to get the victory,” Garcia told Sky Sport Italia.

“I liked that we played all the way through in order to win. Even at the end we attacked to the final whistle and tried to get the victory,” Garcia told Sky Sport Italia.
“This is football, we can’t win them all, but a draw away from home is not a negative result. Was the winning streak starting to weigh on us? It was not a weight for us, but you will certainly have to change your approach!” he told journalists.
Garcia made some midfield adjustments tonight, introducing Michael Bradley to push Miralem Pjanic into the attacking trident.
“I am happy with Bradley’s performance. With three games a week, the third one was always going to be difficult, so we needed fresh legs. They also deserve to play, as Bradley and Nico Burdisso did very well.
“Obviously without Francesco Totti and Gervinho we have fewer options in attack. It wasn’t possible to start with Marco Borriello and Adem Ljajic, as neither had more than an hour in their legs.
“I made this decision and in the first half we barely suffered at all, as Torino were just waiting for our mistake to go on the counter. After the break they had a little more space, as did we, to attack in.”
The Coach seemed irritated with some refereeing decisions, most notably on the Torino goal.
“We conceded a goal with Mehdi Benatia at the near post and the Torino player was behind him. I don’t know if it was a foul, but it was a moment that changed the game.
“After the equaliser, Torino went back to the counter-attack strategy and it was tough for us to break them down again.
“I just do my job as a Coach, the referee does his. A Coach can make a mistake, so can players and referees.
“We must make the most of this point, as it is valuable, and be ready to win the next game at home to Sassuolo. I hope we can then break away from Juventus or Napoli, maybe even both.”
Next weekend Juventus and Napoli go head-to-head, so it’s an opportunity for Roma to extend their lead.
