“The first half was bad, but the second half was stellar. That is the Roma I always want to see,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We have been working on this since the start of the season and used this tactic during the campaign too. It’s true the balance of the side was much better in the second half, but we also knew a draw would be a bad result for us, so we had to push hard to win with four strikers.
“We can play a more attacking system when we have these great centre-backs who protect the goal.”
Roma are still unbeaten, but are five points adrift of Serie A leaders Juventus ahead of their showdown on January 5.
“We have 41 points after 17 games, an extraordinary sum. With these points we’d usually be top, but this year Juventus win all the time. After Christmas we can think about the game in Turin.
“The real difference is that Juve have a squad built to win in Italy, but also in Europe, so they have two teams in one.”
Gervinho scored eventually, but had missed some extraordinary sitters at the Olimpico this afternoon.
“The fourth goal was a great move! We work on that hitting the ball on to your other foot in training…” joked the Coach
“He got away from four Catania men and I liked Adem Ljajic’s decisive pass. He is generous and hard-working, but he did score in a bit of a fortunate way.”
Garcia was also asked about the upcoming January transfer window.
“If we can improve the squad in January then we will, but the most important thing is to keep the current team intact.”
