Coach Rudi Garcia believes tomorrow's Fiorentina-Roma Europa League game will be 'different' from their previous encounters this season.

The Round of 16’s first leg tie tomorrow evening at 8:05pm UK time pits together two sides that know each other well, as the French Coach first openly acknowledged in his pre-game Press conference.

“We have played against Fiorentina three times, but this game is different,” Garcia has opened to reporters.

“It will be played over 180 minutes, and maybe a bit more. We must manage both games well, not just tomorrow's. That's a must if we want to make it to the next round.

“Playing better than last Sunday shouldn't be too hard,” he said, in reference to the Giallorossi's 0-0 draw against Chievo.

“When we scored more goals, there was a better feeling between the players on the pitch.

“I hope to see Roma the way I saw them in Rotterdam [when they defeated Feyenoord 2-1] and in the first half against Verona.

“The way we played in the final minutes against Juventus last week [1-1] was also good.

“It wasn't that long ago, and I'm confident my team can do as well as they were doing earlier.

“We're playing without [Francesco] Totti, they don't have [Mario] Gomez. But [Fiorentina's Khouma] Babacar and [Roma's Seydou] Doumbia could make it, so both Coaches could play with a lone striker.

“Alternatively there will be others, with different qualities and an advantage in speed, with no specialists up ahead.

“We did that in Genoa too. The tactical choice could be interesting.”
