Milan CEO Adriano Galliani confessed he is going to Madrid tomorrow, but “not necessarily to meet Carlo Ancelotti.”
The director spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of tonight’s game with Torino and confirmed reports he’s flying out to Spain on Monday.
“I am going to Madrid tomorrow. I didn’t say what I was doing there. That city has two great clubs, friendly clubs who have great players,” smiled Galliani.

Yet President Silvio Berlusconi said on Saturday that “Ancelotti will return to Milan if Real Madrid let him go.” So is Galliani going there to convince the Coach?
“For 29 years I have never commented on the President’s statements and I am not going to start now.”
Ancelotti said in yesterday’s Press conference he will either stay at Real Madrid or take a year off.
“I didn’t say I was going to meet Ancelotti. I am simply going to Madrid. We’ll see what happens. The important thing is to take Milan back to the positions of the past, as it’s sad to see this table.
“We aim to take Milan back to the top of first Italian football and then hopefully European.
“He is currently the Coach of Real Madrid, just as Filippo Inzaghi is the Coach of Milan. Tomorrow is another day, the day after we’ll see, but as things stand Ancelotti has not been sacked by Real Madrid.
“Meanwhile there’s a long summer ahead and I’m going to have a jaunt to Madrid.”
Galliani was also asked about reports of interest in Mario Mandzukic of Atletico Madrid and Jackson Martinez of Porto.
“Mandzukic has a home in Madrid, Jackson Martinez is in Porto, which isn’t far away, so this is the right route…
“While we wait for investment or not, the resources are not going to be missing, as Silvio Berlusconi is passionate about the club and will put the resources at our disposal the way he has done for 29 years.”
Meanwhile, there are reports on Mediaset Premium tonight that Milan have signed a deal with Sevilla boss Unai Emery, so Galliani could be extending his journey beyond Madrid.
