“At the end of the game, Eto’o came up to me and said he was honoured to meet me,” explained Sarri.
“I naturally asked if he was taking the… Then he said that he really loved the way my team plays. He was very humble and made a wonderful impression on me.
“I had to remind him… he’s Samuel Eto’o!”
Sarri was also given a warm reception from the Stadio Castellani crowd, who chanted his name.
“Today some of the chants from the fans really moved me. My future? I have a contract with Empoli, so I’m in no hurry to move on. At this moment there are no negotiations.”
