Adriano Galliani explains his visit to Milanello – ‘I was asking why our poor form happened’.

Milan’s joint-CEO visited the training ground this week, to speak with the players and Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“I wasn’t doing it as a player or a Coach, but as a director,” Galliani told assembled media on via Colonna in Milan.

“I tried to analyse the data we have, we’re struggling to understand and I was trying to understand why this has happened after the winter break.

“We had four games against the four teams ahead of us, we beat Fiorentina and Inter and drew with Roma and Napoli, but against teams below us we’ve dropped a lot of points.

“After the five international breaks required by FIFA, we’ve taken one point from five games.

“If I had an idea of what that’s happening, I’d be going around with a big stick, I’m asking, and I’m asking the Coach and the players.

“Last year they said we were weak and dropped points against the big teams, this year it’s the opposite.

“It’s hard to understand, there are players who the public say aren’t good enough, then they go away and do well.”

However, Galliani threw his backing behind Mihajlovic.

"We're behind and together with Mihajlovic, we chose him, he's here and he has a two-year contract. The rumours won't slow us down, leave Sinisa alone to work.

"The team is definitely behind him, after 30 years I know when a squad is with or against the Coach.

"We have to pick up points and results."
