The striker is on loan with the Rossoneri, having endured an unsuccessful spell with Liverpool in the English Premier League.

Despite having missed most of the season with a hernia, club President Silvio Berlusconi admitted a permanent deal could be done, and the Diavolo’s joint-CEO backs the patron’s words.

“Why not? It’ll depend on a lot of things, he belongs to Liverpool,” Galliani responded when asked about Balotelli outside a Lega Calcio meeting.

“We’ll talk in the summer.

“No-one will leave for China, their transfer window re-opens in mid-June, before ours.

“Carlos Bacca? A written offer from a club has never arrived. For me, when an agent comes in and says a club is prepared to offer a certain amount, that is not an offer.

“For Bacca there were things written by intermediaries. For me that’s not an offer.”

Galliani was also asked about Milan’s upcoming fixtures.

“I’m more worried about the teams behind us that the teams in front of us. In 2016 we’ve beaten Fiorentina and Inter and we drew with Roma and Napoli.

“We lost at home to Bologna and drew with Udinese and Empoli. We have to do well against the teams below us.

“If there was a mini-League of the top six teams we’d be in the lead, having taken eight points from the four games against the teams above us.”
