It’s reported Adriano Galliani has asked Fininvest to provide Milan with extra transfer funds.

A preliminary agreement has been signed to sell the club to a Chinese consortium, but the closing isn’t expected until November.

As part of the terms of the agreement, Sino-Europe Sports have provided €15m of investment straight away, but that money has simply covered the purchase of Gianluca Lapadula.

Another €85m is due “within 35 days of signing” but that could arrive after the transfer window has closed.

Sky therefore reports that joint-CEO Adriano Galliani has asked holding Fininvest to provide some extra capital in order to acquire a midfielder for Coach Vincenzo Montella.

The initial plan was to raise money through sales, but Carlos Bacca’s €30m move to West Ham United collapsed.
