As part of the terms of the agreement, Sino-Europe Sports have provided €15m of investment straight away, but that money has simply covered the purchase of Gianluca Lapadula.
Another €85m is due “within 35 days of signing” but that could arrive after the transfer window has closed.
Sky therefore reports that joint-CEO Adriano Galliani has asked holding Fininvest to provide some extra capital in order to acquire a midfielder for Coach Vincenzo Montella.
The initial plan was to raise money through sales, but Carlos Bacca’s €30m move to West Ham United collapsed.
