Lorenzo Insigne’s Napoli renewal has reportedly stalled because of a wage dispute.

In a bombshell interview today, the playmaker’s agent revealed his client could leave the club, having spent his whole career with the Partenopei, aside from a loan spell with Pescara.

Now Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the problem has arisen because of a dispute over wages, with Fabio Andreotti admitting that the contract on offer “doesn’t satisfy us”.

It’s reported that Insigne is being offered €2.5m per season to renew his contract until 2021.

However, the Italian international and his agent are holding out for €3.5m, hence the ongoing problems with a renewal.
