According to reports in Turkey, Galatasaray are interested in signing Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara in January.

The 24-year-old is not in José Mourinho’s plans, having only played eight games across all competitions this season.

Therefore, the Giallorossi are willing to sell him in the winter transfer window. His contract at the Stadio Olimpico expires in June 2024.

Diawara is currently on Africa Cup of Nations duty with his national team Guinea, but Roma hope their midfielder will evaluate offers in the coming weeks.

According to Spor journalist Gökhan Dinç, Galatasaray are interested in the former Napoli midfielder and have even made him their priority in the January transfer window.

Diawara’s salary at the Stadio Olimpico exceeds €2m per season and Roma would sign one more midfielder if he leaves.

Olympique De Marseille starlet Boubacar Kamara is among their targets, but José Mourinho has already welcomed Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sergio Oliveira on loan from Arsenal and Porto, respectively.
